Archant London is offering one lucky couple the chance to win a wonderful weekend break in Glasgow and the chance to experience two of the city's most spectacular events - Piping Live! Glasgow International Piping Festival and The World Pipe Band Championships.
The winners will receive return travel to Glasgow and a two night stay (13th – 15th August) at the stunning Hilton Glasgow, a 20-storey landmark offering breathtaking views across the city. The prize also includes dinner at the Hilton and tickets to Capercaillie and friends, the Championships and the After Worlds Shindig. 5 runners-up will receive a pair of tickets to the events.
Piping Live! (9-15th August) and The Worlds (14th August) are the most prestigious piping events in the world, attracting over 40,000 traditional music fans and almost 8,000 pipers from around the globe. You'll discover the experimental energy of today's newest talent to the awesome accomplishment of established musicians from across the globe. There is something going on morning, noon and night. The venues are as varied as the performers, from workshops to masterclasses, ceilidhs to concerts and street performances. Its fast, fun, moving, informative, entertaining, exhilarating - it's Piping Live! and The Worlds.
