When Irish eyes are smiling…

More than 500 people flocked to Roundwood Park in Harlesden for this year’s annual London Irish Festival on Sunday.

The sun had its hat on as did many of the revellers who soaked in the hot weather while dancing away to a string of live acts on stage.

The popular festival was axed by the council a decade ago but was resurrected by a consortium of business people last year.

This year’s music line up included Philomena Begley, Robert Mizzel, Ray Lynam, Seamus Moore and Big Tom.

Boredom was not an option for the younger attendees who were treated to a host of free activities including face painting and a human table football.

Anita Pomroy, a mother-of-three from Neasden said: “We really enjoyed it.
“The music was great and the weather made the whole day perfect.”
